CONTEXT

The National Dialogues for Development series is an initiative promoted, in collaboration, by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics and the United Nations Development Programme, within the scope of the international cooperation project BRA/23/023, whose aim is to hold technical debates on themes that pose challenges to human development in the 21st century.

The first Dialogue – New Frontiers of Human Development in the 21st Century: Challenges and Milestones for the Governance of Artificial Intelligence in Brazil – will be based on the Human Development Report 2025. Furthermore, the Brazilian Artificial Intelligence Strategy and the Brazilian Artificial Intelligence Plan will serve as references so that the discussion can be framed within the Brazilian context, taking global discussions on the topic as a parameter.
