CONTEXT
The National Dialogues for Development series is an initiative promoted collaboratively by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics and the United Nations Development Programme, within the framework of the international cooperation project BRA/23/023, whose purpose is to hold technical debates on themes that pose challenges to human development in the 21st century.
The first Dialogue – New Frontiers of Human Development in the 21st Century: Challenges and Milestones for the Governance of Artificial Intelligence in Brazil – will be driven by the Human Development Report 2025. In addition, the Brazilian Artificial Intelligence Strategy and the Brazilian Artificial Intelligence Plan will serve as references to ensure the discussion engages with the Brazilian context, using global discussions on the topic as a benchmark.
